Wiz Khalifa spoke about being inspired by the underdog, seeing the hunger of an MC on the come-up dropping videos when they want to and not worrying about record labels or the music business.
“It’s more fun and less calculated,” he said. “There’s way more creativity and it reminds me of everything that I did when I first started. When you first start out you’re really innocent and you just have fun.”
It makes perfect sense then, that despite having a massive pop hit still in circulation with ‘See You Again’, he’s happy enough to jump off his tour bus and shoot a quick black-and-white video of a 45 second acapella freestyle. And that’s exactly what we love about him!
