Buhari Rejects N’Assembly’s Peace Deal On Budget




There were indications on Sunday that the National Assembly’s  peace moves with the executive over the 2016 budget crisis had flopped.

It was learnt that as part of the peace moves, the National Assembly had, on Saturday, reached out to the executive and asked President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the document and then send a supplementary budget to the lawmakers.

Buhari Approves An Exchange Rate of N160 to $1


I didn't vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in the last election, though I know that Nigeria needed change.  I just disagreed with the change agent due to reasons I have explained in various write-ups in the lead up to the election.  I didn’t vote for Jonathan either; the PDP as was constituted and operated just wasn’t a Party I could even consider for anything.  In the end, I voted for one of the lesser known Parties.

Nigeria to Contribute 3,500 to 10,000 Multinational Task Force Against Boko Haram

Nigeria is to contribute 3,500 troops to the 10,000 multinational task force within the Lake Chad Basin that would be launched today in Cameroon.

The task force which was a joint initiative of the countries within the African sub- region will provide a military assault against the occupation of Boko Haram in the region.

Tinubu Seeks 100 Days of Honeymoon For Buhari

A national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, urged Nigerians who have been accusing President Muhammadu Buhari of being too slow to allow the President at least 100 days of honeymoon.

He said change, which was at the centre of the party’s campaign ahead of the presidential election, would not be achieved with a magic wand.
