A video has emerged on YouTube showing a man jumping a zoo fence to pet cougars in Ohio.
A video has emerged on YouTube showing a man jumping a zoo fence to pet cougars in Ohio.
The zoo pressed charges against Joshua Newell who filmed himself jumping over the outer fence of the big cat enclosure at the Columbus Zoo.
Mr Newell, 35, petted the two adult cougars while sayings phrases like "kitty, kitty, kitty".

The cougars enjoyed the experience and Mr Newell did not sustain any injuries.
Columbus Zoo called the incident "alarming" saying "Animal welfare and safety are two of our top priorities,"
"Barriers, like the fence line at the cougar habitat, are in place to keep our guests safe. The actions taken in this video were alarming and resulted in our decision to press charges."
Mr Newell is due to appear in court on Wednesday for trespassing.
