Caitlyn Jenner is auctioning off the Olympic torch she carried in the 80s.

Before becoming a star on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Caitlyn was an accomplished athlete. Back in 1984 Caitlyn, when she identified as Bruce Jenner, carried the Olympic torch through Lake Tahoe in Nevada.

Now the torch she carried is going under the hammer when it is expected to fetch over $20,000.

Chris Ivy of Heritage Auctions called the item ‘symbolic’ as ‘[Caitlyn] will be looked upon in history as the first significant public figure to come out as transgender. She is the torch bearer for that movement.

‘This is the Olympics that represent the first outlet where Bruce Jenner became known in public consciousness.’
Jenner won a gold medal for the decathlon in 1976.
