Coroner’s officials said on Sunday a 21-year-old man accidentally drowned in the backyard pool of a Los Angeles home owned by the actor Demi Moore.
Lieutenant Fred Corral said the man was found dead at 5.30am on Sunday.
Los Angeles police responded to the home on the 9000 block of Oak Pass Road in west Los Angeles after a 911 call.
Sergeant A Bone said Moore was not home at the time, and the man was not a family member. He was associated with someone with access to the pool. His identity was not immediately released.
A small crowd was around the man’s body when police officers arrived.
Authorities said Moore’s children had been having pool parties at the home, but it was unclear if a party was ongoing when the drowning occurred.
Representatives for Moore did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The news and celebrity website TMZ was first to report the incident.
